Our old presbytery in the North of France. Parts of the house are 400 years old, but the main structure was rebuilt in 1835. Dedicated pingpong room. Garden is spacious and not overlooked. Hammock and lots of places to flop. Lovely kitchen to cook in. Lots of Newton Paisley fabric and wallpaper. Sleeps a dozen and a nice big dining table we made by hand. Quiet countryside surrounding a village of 250 people. Flax, maize, dairy, wheat are local mainstays. Close to Hesdin with its wonderful Thursday market and the Montreuil-sur-Mer market on Saturday morning is another treat. 45 minutes from the Opal Coast. One hour drive from Calais and Lille. Two hour drive to the outskirts of Paris. Beautiful gardens nearby like Sericourt. Lots of nice walks and cycling. Very peaceful.
