Design for Diversity

Design for Diversity is an initiative that aims to diversify the design industry. It was created by interior designer Rukmini Patel along with journalist Kate Watson Smyth who, feeling the shock and reverberations following George Floyd’s murder in the summer of 2020, saw the need for change and acted on it. By signing the pledge, businesses like Newton Paisley are showing their eagerness to diversify the industry and holding themselves accountable towards driving this change. This doesn’t pretend to be a complete solution, but it is hoped that this is the start of much bigger change in the design world. We are proud sign this pledge.
