The Canopy Collection is a collaboration between conservation biologist/designer Dr Susy Paisley and
interior designer Cecilia Casagrande, a color and pattern maven.

This collection is inspired by the magical feeling of being under the canopy of a tree: gazing upwards, sheltering, dreaming. Designed specifically for ceilings (though happy to be used on walls and fabric), the “Sakura” (Cherry Blossom) design is the first of three multi-directional prints.

In Japanese culture, the Cherry Blossom Festival is the focal moment in the year for reconnecting to nature.
Rejoicing in the ephemeral and eternal. Our Sakura design features three different varieties of cherry tree. The branches, with their iconic elbow bends, are ornamented with lichens like delicate lace. The unusual, multi-scale, rotational pattern repeat creates an intriguing, varied effect, inviting eyes to play, to explore..
